Sheikh Mohammed calls on UAE residents to raise national flag ‘above every home and building’
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has invited all residents to hoist the UAE flag.
The nation has emerged from the recent crisis more united, coherent and loyal than ever before Sheikh Mohammed said in a post on social media.
After a challenging time many community initiatives have been established across industries to assist local businesses and their residents through tough times.
These include Dubai’s Fine Way to Dine program and Parkin’s Spots for Shops campaign.
The call to hoist the flag embodies the collective spirit that has manifested itself across the UAE in recent times.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed urged all residents to display the flag in a sign of solidarity and pride.
“The United Arab Emirates headed into the recent crisis with solidarity, and it came out of it more united, cohesive, and loyal citizens and residents alike, both young and old — military and civilians; government sectors as well as economic ones — all of them under one banner in service to the state, its flag and a symbol of its unity,” he said.
“The UAE flag epitomizes glory and pride. We urge sons and residents of the UAE on its blessed land to promote it high above the roofs of homes, institutions and buildings.
“Proud of our country, proud and also of our president of our country, proud of the armed forces to protect us also, proud of the strength that we hold on both our economy, proud of all workteams also that we have in the field here. Proud of all our citizens and residents that are disciplined on this land.” Proud of our flag.
“Let us see the flag flown above every house and building, as an expression of our love and loyalty to our nation’s president and a symbol of the unity and solidarity that binds us.”
