Fuel Prices Surge in India as Global Oil Supply Faces Disruptions

Energy rates surged higher as the fall out from the Middle East war and blockade of the Strait of Hormuz threatens to keep oil and gas supplies disrupted, prompting a Rs 3 per litre hike in petrol and diesel prices by nomadic on Friday.

In Delhi, petrol will now cost Rs 97.77 per litre in Delhi, Rs 108.74 per litre in Kolkata, Rs 106.68;in Mumbai and;Rs 103.67 for Chennai respectively.

In Delhi, diesel will now be available for ₹ 90.67 a litre, in Kolkata for ₹ 95.13 a litre and in Mumbai for ₹ 93.14 per litre and Chennai at ₹ 95.25 per litre.

CNG prices were also increased in Delhi and are now priced at ₹79.09 per kg.
