Sharjah Deploys Advanced Firefighting Robots for Dangerous Fires

Sharjah firefighting robots

The Sharjah Civil Defence Authority just deployed impressive new firefighting robots. These machines combat high-risk industrial blazes safely and effectively.

They strengthen emergency response operations and protect local firefighters perfectly. Brigadier Yousef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi directs the civil defence authority. He says this new technology places human safety first.

Tackling Extreme Heat

The department currently operates six robots for dangerous warehouse fires. Firefighters deploy these machines into extremely hazardous environments. The robots easily withstand massive temperatures and unstable building structures.

They battle fires directly while human teams control them remotely. This protects brave emergency workers from collapsing roofs and severe heat.

Powerful Rescue Technology

These FFBOT units feature amazing reconnaissance and fire suppression systems. They spray 8,000 litres of water and foam every single minute. The powerful stream reaches up to 100 metres away.

Operators control the machines wirelessly from a safe 1,000-metre distance. The robots use GPS navigation and six smart cameras.

Smart Safety Features

Commanders monitor the chaotic scene remotely using the robot cameras. Thermal sensors and heavy-duty headlights pierce through thick smoke easily.

Warning sirens and cooling sprinklers protect the expensive robotic units. The agile machines easily climb steep stairways during emergencies. Reinforced front bumpers push through heavy debris to reach hidden flames.
