Join Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Complimentary Guided Tours and Workshops for Adults

 Free workshops and guided experiences through the end of June

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 10 April 2026: Louvre Abu Dhabi welcomes visitors to discover its collection and exhibitions through a new series of weekly workshops and free daily expert-led guided tours that include a range of brand-new tours as well as thematic tours that re-visit the museum’s galleries and exhibitions.

Designed for inquisitive individuals and art lovers alike, the tours answer questions about what goes on in the field of art history; ideas as well as cultural dialogue — all facilitated by knowledgeable museum educators and inspired by the museum’s collection.

As part of a curated programme that provides new ways to explore Louvre Abu Dhabi, complimentary workshops and guided tours are taking place until the end of June.

New Tours

Storytelling Tours

Everyday at 04:30PM

UAE-Inspired (Tuesdays): visitors gather around objects discovered in the UAE that speak to Emirati Cultural identity, heritage, artistic expression and cultural exchanges. The UAE Inspired tour includes contemporary work like Giuseppe Penone’s Propagation (2016), as well as a reflection on materiality and natural growth, or process in artistic production.

Take me to Asia (Wednesdays): A deep-dive exploration into the richness of Asian art across different periods from across the continent, discovering materials, techniques and themes that defined Asian visual culture. This bronze sculpture, Winged Dragon (North China, 450–250 BCE) is part of the Take Me to Asia tour and showcases a symbol with intricate detailing and meticulous technique characteristic of ancient Asian art.

Women in Art (Thursdays): where visitors discover how women have been represented in art around the world and throughout time. The chosen artworks, including the Woman dressed in a woolen garment, from Bactria, will allow visitors to learn how women have expressed themselves through different roles — as symbols, individuals and members of society.

Islamic Art Motifs (Fridays): explore the richness of Islamic art through its unique visual language, delving into key themes like geometry, arabesque and calligraphy. Monumental Lion (Spain or Southern Italy, 1000–1200) is a headline-grabbing Islamic work in the tour of Islamic Art Motifs that exhibits vast symbolic wealth, breathtaking craftsmanship and cross‑Mediterranean cultural transfer.

From The Philippines: A special thematic visit with three outstanding artworks on loan from the Philippines (Saturdays). The tour includes Juan Luna’s 19th‑century painting Una Bulaqueña, the national treasure of the Philippines and an embodiment of subsequent cultural identity.

Animals in Art (Sundays): This tour looks at the role of animals in art, across cultures and centuries. Visitors will learn how animals have long served as symbols of power, everyday companions, spiritual beings and sources of artistic inspiration.

Guided Tours

Introduction to Louvre Abu Dhabi (Daily): An interactive tour provides an overview of the Louvre Abu Dhabi and its collection as it leads visitors through a range of artworks from various cultures and periods. Through works ranging from the Two‑Headed Monumental Statue (Aïn Ghazal, Jordan, c. 6500 BCE)—one of the earliest known large-scale representations of the human form—to modern art and beyond, participants will behold stories that connect humanity across time and civilizations.

Picasso, the Figure (Daily): Pablo Picasso’s fascination with the human figure continued throughout his life, and this show tracks its evolution over several phases of his career. In a selection of works, visitors will learn how Picasso came to reinterpret the body — toggling between realism and abstraction and then expressive distortion.

Adult Workshops

Book an Easel

Drawing inspiration from artworks in the museum’s galleries, Book an Easel is a thoughtfully facilitated painting workshop for adults that offers a calm and focused space for creative expression, reflection, and development. Each session focuses on specific artworks and themes from the museum’s collection, inviting participants to physically engage closely with the visual vocabulary of the works.

Drawing at the Museum

Drawing at the Museum is an immersive session led by professional educators that invites participants to slow down and fine-tune their observational drawing skills through close engagement with works of art from the museum’s collection. Each session starts with a 30‑minute​​ introduction to an emphasis-oriented drawing technique, such as line, proportion or composition, before spending about 90 minutes in the galleries drawing from selected works.
