Gulf countries welcome israel and lebnon ceasefire
Gulf states hailed as hopeful for easing tensions and paving way for stability in the region ceasefire between Israel and leaning The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) officials lauded the accord as a positive move towards de-escalation following weeks of heightened hostilities along the border.
A number of Gulf countries renewed their commitment to diplomatic solutions and encouraged everyone to adhere fully to the terms of the ceasefire. They stressed the need to safeguard civilians, deliver humanitarian access and protect against any further escalation of violence.
Regional leaders also called on international stakeholders to assume a role in ensuring that peace is maintained and the underlying reasons for the conflict are resolved. The truce is regarded as an open door to restoring talks and creating permanent peace in the Middle East.
Despite signs of cautious optimism, Gulf countries cautioned that cooperation and restraint must continue to contain the region and avoid a new turbulence in the caldron Middle East.
