Global Village remains closed despite rumours of reopening

Global Village is still shut despite fake news on the internet that it has reopened.

The seasonal draw, which opened for its 30th season in October, closed on Feb. 28 over safety concerns. It has not reopened since as a precaution during the Iran conflict.

Famous for its cultural pavilions representing the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas (among others), the Dubai season venue was due to shut for summer on May 10 before reopening in the cooler months. Although there has been speculation of an extension, no official announcement has yet been made.

The 30th season milestone brought upgrades like Dragon Kingdom, new dining experiences such as Fiesta Street and Dessert District as well as new features on Main Stage. The new Little Wanderers in Carnival provides an indoor sensory adventure space for the youngest guests.

And since it opened in the late 1990s, it has become one of the UAE’s top attractions, with 10.5 million visitors last season.
