Dubai reaches 165 million in global aid initiative worth Dh2.3 billion in 2025
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) spent more than Dh2 during the previous year. 3 billion was spent on projects and programmes that benefited the lives of 165 million people across 122 countries around the globe.
In a social media post, Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the number of beneficiaries and added that the work done by the organisation "reached 16 million more people than in 2024". MBRGI further expanded its geographic reach from 118 cities last year.
In his post, Sheikh Mohammed said: "The UAE has opted for the industry of hope. And chosen to build life. And to be chosen to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with humanity no matter where it may be.
With the goal of shifting from traditional relief to sustainable long-term reconstruction, MBRGI is the largest humanitarian and aid organisation of its kind in the region.
