Dubai establishes sensory rooms for people with autism at Metro stations
Dubai: The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has launched dedicated sensory rooms for autism at Al Satwa and Oud Metha stations as part of its initiatives to enhance accessibility and inclusion across the public transport network.
The Nurture Zones, which are purpose-built multi-sensory spaces designed for people with sensory sensitivities, enable smoother travel through daily life in a more comfortable and confident manner.
This initiative comes as part of RTA's endeavours to enhance the accessibility and convenience of transport services for all members of society, including people of determination and their families.
The decision is also in line with the leadership’s new vision that Dubai is a city for everybody without distinction, and will further consolidate its position as a global leader in inclusive urban mobility.
