According to the announcement released by the UAE's Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, all public sector employees worldwide will enjoy a 5-day holiday starting on Monday, May 25 (or aligned with the Eid day of Arafah in some countries) and ending on Friday, May 29. This gives 9-days off for those who have a typical Saturday-Sunday weekend, combined with the two weekends from that week. The government sector employs a 4-day workweek with a 3-day weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), but Sharjah government employees will get up to 10-days off. This will result in a 10-day holiday.
