Dubai sets standardised Adahi prices for Hajj 2026

Dubai: The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai (IACAD) has prepped for this year sacrificial animal (Adahi) project, setting prices for the 1447 AH (2026) Hajj season in recognition and coordination with relevant charities and humanitarian institutions within command and across the emirate.

The rates approved are Dh800 for the Somali sacrifice slaughtered and distributed in the UAE, Dh350 for local sacrifice slaughtered and distributed in the country of donation, and between Dh490 for sacrifices from Ethiopia or Kenya slaughtered outside UAE and distributed within it.

The initiative is part of an effort to harmonize the price of sacrifice vouchers across certified charities with the goal of limiting variability in prices and increasing transparency and clarity for donors. It also aims to provide a fairer way of managing resources in terms of service delivery and to focus assistance on those who need it most according to standards that are seen as the best practices for humanitarian work.

It explained that the prices for sacrifices have been fixed in coordination with approved providers and through strict controls to ensure that these reach underprivileged families and vulnerable groups in the UAE as well as abroad. The process follows direct oversight by accredited charities in the emirate, which work with donors who perform the ritual each year through reliable charitable channels.
